Back on the Water at Last

Torrential rains on Saturday May 20 meant the cancellation of the Sebago leg of the All-Club races, but Sunday was a glorious day for our postponed season opener! We had with a flotilla of almost 30 kayakers paddling, including guests from Yonkers. Soon after the paddlers cleared the dock, the sailors launched for a day of racing.

A shout out to the intrepid BBQ volunteers, led by Jake Monahan, who stepped up to cook and serve more than 60 members who came together to welcome the new season.

And as you can see from Chris Bickford’s fantastic pictures it takes more than a rainy day to dampen the enthusiasm of anyone at Sebago!

Hello dear members of the Sebago Club.
    I was a member of your club in 2004, 2005, 2006.
My friends were Mike Buxer, Joe Glickmann, Andy Novik, I really want to take part in the traditional races in Washington for the Sebago club.
Maybe you can invite me to these races.
I will be glad to meet you in your club.
    Sincerely, Vladimir Tomilov, Kherson.
