Canoe Committee Policies

The Sebago Canoe Committee offers a range of activities for those interested in canoeing. These include day and overnight regional trips, trips on Jamaica Bay in our beautiful 10-person canoe, and canoe sailing. The Canoe Committee supports Sebago’s public programs such as our Open Houses. For many years, Sebago canoeists have served as coaches for collegiate teams of engineering students who design and competitively paddle canoes made of concrete. As an all-volunteer run Club, the interests or our volunteers direct our programming. Getting actively involved and volunteering to work on canoe committee initiatives provides interested members the opportunity to help promote the sport of canoeing among Club members and the public.
