Forest Hills Hike

A lovely little walk in the snow ~

What a beautiful park! The forecast was frightful but the weather was delightful and 9 brave, but lucky, people weren’t fooled. Dottie lead us on a special tour through the gem of the Queens park system, Forest Park. Unlike some of it’s cousins, Forest Park has preserved it’s natural beauty and has an extensive back country trails network. On our hike we covered almost 4 miles of wonderful wooded hilly trails dusted with snow. It was hard to believe we were still in NYC.  What a great way to spend a Sunday morning in the Big Apple… and only a subway ride away!

Watch the calendar for our next winter hiking adventure!
